2009 Norwich CT Thrill the World Video!
This is the OFFICIAL video! We danced at "Thrill Time" in 2009.
In 2009, Thrill The World set a new world record with the Record Holders Republic, with 22,571 people from 33 nations simultaneously performing “Thriller.”
THE PEOPLE IN THIS VIDEO ARE 21 OF THOSE WORLD RECORD BREAKERS!!
As a little girl, I was obsessed with world records (among other things, like twirling the baton, animals, making candles that looked like owls, reading books, and of course DANCING!) Who knew that it would actually happen, kind of by accident, that members of Artreach would wind up in a world record breaking event?
We set out to learn the dance for a Second Step Players Holiday Follies show, which had a short section of the dance in it. That's when I found Ines' awesome teaching videos, and became interested in Thrill the World. Thinking, "Why not learn the dance a couple of months early, and DO this thing?" we set out on our adventure, met some cool people along the way, and wound up in the group of world record breakers!
21 people from CT and RI danced Thriller with members and staff of Artreach and The Second Step Players.
